Galerie NoD Amplification Daniel Vlček & Antonín Gazda, Jiří Suchánek & Pavla Beranová, Lukáš Likavčan & Selmeci Kocka Jusko Cooperation: Giovanni Cecconi, Johana Rotterová Kurátor: Pavel Kubesa Opening: 27. 1. 2026, 18:00 28. 1. - 27. 2. 2026 The original impetus behind the artistically driven, research-based, and interdisciplinary exhibition project ZESÍLENÍ (Amplification) is a reflection on the ways ecological reality is disclosed to us: it is not something outside of us, but rather an intricate network of being that touches our body and mind at once. The project directly continues Daniel Vlček’s 2023 residency in the Venetian Lagoon and expands through the work of additional authors and through interdisciplinary collaborations. In the initiating project Confluence at Marignana Arte, presented during the Venice Biennale 2024, Vlček developed the concept of the “lagoon” as a symbol of a complex ecological superorganism, in which the interface between culture and nature is intermingled and a daily confrontation of the relation between elemental forces and being is opened up. Positioned between a site-specific installation and a scientific laboratory, the multimedia exhibition seeks to simulate planetary processes of nature while also amplifying biological and physical processes that shape the changing environmental conditions of life in the Anthropocene.

Stanislava Benešová, David Kolovratník, Václav Kostohryz: Between Us
Curator: Veronika Zajačiková
June 1 - 25, 2017
Exhibition project of finalist of independent art festival Samorosti 2016
Three authors meet in a thematic exhibition. It combines not only interest in the human-animal captured in its specific environment, the authors conduct a quiet dialogue across genres, across the worlds of animal and human realms.
“Maybe, there is a beast ... What I mean is ... Maybe it's only us.”
William Golding" Lord of the Flies
STANISLAVA BENEŠOVÁ reflects social and moral issues in her paintings. She wonders what distinguishes humans from animals. Are they just social norms and education, which can oſten be completely artificially created? ”Concept Between Us, associated me the word MIMIKRY. Meanwhile, I understand them as a mask between us as people in society and among us as humans with (animal) instincts. "To succeed and to succeed in society, we put our masks on trying to meet the patterns of good man. However, we suppress our natural instincts and instincts that are closer to the animal world.“
In the second thematic group, Stanislava touches the phenomenon of WOLF CHILDREN. How would childrenwithoutcare, withoutthecriticalpatternof adults, be different. The author in the compositions puts children in the role of a wild game, whose life and movement is documented by a photopasting record. Simple, unbridled play for children, set in a different context, can be a struggle for life.
BETWEEN US, the quiet companions live
Some people perceive them as a thing Some are eaten
Some are passing by car
Sigurson is aware,
Their joy and sorrow, and the pure, self-confident soul
They are a great inspiration for him and it is for those creatures,
Which he has met and will meet,
Very grateful
The creation of VACLAV SIGURSON KOSTOHRYZ moves within the limits of small sculpture, which however grows in size with acquired experience. Václav invites the viewer to the intimate world according to Sigourson. Special for this exhibition, author
prepared three bronze sculptures from Sigurson's Animals series. In NoD, the premier will have a couple of kiwi birds, a bunch of kaloons or a host of chameleons. The modeling
of the animals that it deals with in the present time was preceded by an interest in the human figure, especially in capturing a person in
an intimate emotional situation. Animal figures are created with ease, capturing animals in their natural beauty and fragility.
DAVID KOLOVRATNIK is in his new interest in the unprecedented past of part of his family. It processes an inherited photo archive, fragments of which are the masterpiece of the large screen. Characters, however, who can oſten only think of who they are or have been, are building into completely new, never-awaited, and oſten absurd, frightening situations and relationships. Although his painting is slowly turning away from him so oſten obsessively repeated central theme of the previous work – fish, the feeling of some silence and submergence remains here as well.
The paintings for the exhibition "Between Us" are complemented by a videoprojection composed of bands of cinemas. Their original damage has created new abstract shapes blending with characters and deforming the original, unreadable information.
