<p>What mechanisms operate a loving relationship of two people separated by thousands of kilometres? How strong the bond has to be to keep us connected to the other person when it&rsquo;s been such a long time since we last smelled their skin, since we held their hand and cuddled in their arms? These are the questions raised by Fairy Queen, a piece created by the contemporary dance company 420PEOPLE and one based on true events and authentic personal material and experience of the performers.<br /> <br /> It is with immense love that we dedicate this piece to our sons and daughters, parents and partners, to all the beloved people who only hear our &ldquo;I love you&rdquo; when the distance has grown too long.<br /> <br /> <strong>The project results from a collaborative initiative of the company 420PEOPLE, the Experimental Space NoD and the music group Zabelov.</strong></p>

<p>An auteur-style production about the adventure experienced in space by Sputnik, planet Earth&rsquo;s first artificial satellite. It is also the first production in the new miniature theatre space &mu;Mikro &ndash; a transportable theatre scene for one spectator and two actors. The spectator looks through a peephole 4.4 by 7 cm at a performance that, using the principle of film editing, has different scenes alternating behind the peephole. The technology of the production is based on paper and mechanical automata and pop-up books.</p>

THE IMPRO BIG BAND (Omar Argentino Galvan feat. IMPROvariace)

<p>&ldquo;Sound painting&rdquo; is a sign language used for composing scenes (combining different art disciplines) in real time performances. &ldquo;Sound painting&rdquo; was created by <em>Walter Thompson</em> and has been spread around the world. THE IMPROV BIG BAND was later derived from the original <em>Thompson&rsquo;s</em> format and has already been performed with an absolute success in Mexico, Reunion Island, Puerto Rico, Spain, etc. THE IMPROV BIG BAND is a new way to play with different artistic forms (music, poetry, dance, etc.).</p> <p>In October 2017 <strong>Omar Argentino Galvan</strong> (an improviser and a teacher of sound painting technique) will be visiting Prague with his special show. He will be training a local theatre improv group IMPROvariace for several days and this workshop will lead to a first live performance of THE IMPROV BIG BAND in the Czech Republic.</p> <p><strong>THE IMPRO BIG BAND live show will take place at Theatre NoD (Dlouh&aacute; 33, Prague 1) on Sunday October 8, 7:30 PM.&nbsp; Tickets will be available via GoOut. Price 200 CZK (adults) / 150 CZK (students).</strong></p>

<p>Rope jumping as a children&rsquo;s game, but also as ambition and self-improvement. Are you jumping to get ahead, jumping past your old boundaries, or are you just jumping in a circle from which there is no escape? How long will the game stay just a game and how long will it take before the game slips into madness?</p> <p>Tereza Hradilkov&aacute; is a dancer who has in recent years focused more on her own performance creation, such as &ldquo;Proměnn&aacute;/Variable&ldquo; with Israeli colleague Einat Ganz, and &ldquo;Deadline&ldquo;. She also collaborated on the award-winning dance film &ldquo;Beating&rdquo;.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>

Anna Kukuczková: O tom se nemluví / We do not speak about it

<p><strong>Original performance about rape, about brutal intervention into one&rsquo;s life, one that affects the human soul for a&nbsp;lifetime. How to forget? How to live on? Is one able to forgive under such circumstances?</strong></p> <p>The performance is inspired by authentic testimonies and stories of women who are victims of rape. The Bachelor performance of Anna Kukuczkov&aacute;, a&nbsp;student at the Department of Pantomime of the Academy of Performing Arts (HAMU).</p>

Divadlo NIE: Museum of Memories

<p>NIE have made our own movable museum building. Made up out of 70 m2 of rusty drawers. Inside this room five people reconstructs a life that has ended. Two brothers, a neighbour, a teacher and a lover. With warmth, humour and music, they tell stories about the one they have lost. A brother, a student, a neighbour boy, the first love.</p> <p>Minutes, maybe hours of your own existence that you have forgotten, but I remember. You live a secret life in an other person&rsquo;s memory. Tor Ulven</p> <p>The audience are sitting close together inside the intimate venue, that resembles an archive, and experiencing the actors and stories closely. After the show opens drawers in the archive, and turns into a small museum, a room for reflection with different sensory experiences that can awaken associations for our own lives and own memories.</p> <p>This project is exploring true stories and accounts from people that have experienced suicide in their family. The project is a movable installation that is both an exhibition space and a space for the performance. The show opened on the 27th April 2012 on Tulinl&oslash;kka, between The National Museum and The National Gallery in the heart of Oslo. The show is now touring both in Norway and internationally.</p>
