<p>Pride and Prejudice&nbsp;or love smells of rotting flesh</p> <p>A story about young girls who fall in love for the first time. A story full of love, hate and reviving corpses. A story about desire for blood and fresh human flesh. A romantic B classic.</p> <p>The performance is presented with English subtitles, their creation and translation was possible thanks to the support of IDU (Art and Theatre Institute) in Prague.</p>

<p>What mechanisms operate a loving relationship of two people separated by thousands of kilometres? How strong the bond has to be to keep us connected to the other person when it&rsquo;s been such a long time since we last smelled their skin, since we held their hand and cuddled in their arms? These are the questions raised by Fairy Queen, a piece created by the contemporary dance company 420PEOPLE and one based on true events and authentic personal material and experience of the performers.<br /> <br /> It is with immense love that we dedicate this piece to our sons and daughters, parents and partners, to all the beloved people who only hear our &ldquo;I love you&rdquo; when the distance has grown too long.<br /> <br /> <strong>The project results from a collaborative initiative of the company 420PEOPLE, the Experimental Space NoD and the music group Zabelov.</strong></p>

Now he presents his debut album, BASIC VOLUME, after captivating listeners with a&nbsp;blistering pair of acclaimed,self-released mixtapes Machine and Security and Warp-released EPs SPAGHETTO and The Spectacular Empire. Besides his audio-visual shows he presents his opinions and ideas in writing and sculptures too, not being afraid of criticising the system, police or government. His show at NoD will certainly give you some food for thought.</strong></p>

Through the years, the Antwerp based band have developed a&nbsp;rich, organic sound that is theirs only.&nbsp;<em>Rooms / Ruins</em>, their fifth album, is a&nbsp;capricious, vibrant and strange affair that will send you inwards before catapulting you into space. The Telescope / Tim Spooner

<p>The Telescope&nbsp;underwent a traumatic relocation and its lenses and mirrors became hopelessly rearranged. It was impossible to tell anymore whether the view through the telescope was of the surface of a distant planet or a microscopic reflection of the interior of the viewer&rsquo;s own eye. Nevertheless this new world was studied and documented thoroughly.</p> <p>The Telescope&nbsp;looks through a broken telescope at a world which responds to being watched, a reflection of the watcher. <p>A series of concerts WOWs &ndash; Wonderwomen Save You will make its return to NoD with Kelly Lee Owens among others this autumn. The 28 year old musician will perform bits from her self-titled debut album she has made overflowing with experiments in electronic music that oscillate between cavernous techno, dreamy pop and krautrock rhythms. Despite her brief career, you most likely have already heard her voice and contributions on Daniel Avery&rsquo;s album&nbsp;<em>Drone Logic</em>&nbsp;that was released in 2013. Besides that, she&rsquo;s worked with names like St. Vincent or Jenny Hval. And that is just a&nbsp;beginning. Kelly Lee Owens will make her Czech debut on 6/11 at NoD. Tickets will be available from 26/7 via GoOut for 320 czk.</p>

<p>Inside the tent there is a smaller tent, and inside the smaller tent there is a boy. He has travelled a long way. He has travelled mostly on his own. He can show the things he has brought with him, he can tell the reasons for his journey, he can tell about the route he has taken, he can&rsquo;t tell you where the story ends...</p> <p>We Come from Far Far Away follows the story of two boys from Aleppo who travel to Norway.&nbsp; It&rsquo;s a&nbsp; road trip type of story &ndash; from Turkey to Greece and then to Macedonia and so on &ndash; all the way to Oslo.&nbsp; But it&rsquo;s also a complicated story, its about things and people and places and also, significantly, about life and death.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>Her voice will bring melancholy without sadness. Lilly Among Clouds creates majestic songs full of beauty and harmony that will embrace you with an intimate pop feeling. She has been very prolific during her brief career that started just in 2015 with a&nbsp;self-titled EP. Last year, this 28-year-old German songwriter followed it with a&nbsp;proper album called Aerial Perspective. There she created a&nbsp;warm &amp; deep space out of vibrant beats, compelling sounds and atmospheric guitars always allowing her voice to shine. &nbsp;&nbsp;After a&nbsp;successful gig a&nbsp;Colours of Ostrava, she&rsquo;s coming back to Czechia and will enlighten you with her dreamy pop sound on 10/10 at NoD. Julien Baker / support: Becca Mancari

<p>Singer-songwriter from Memphis Julien Baker is coming to Prague for the first time. Her tender voice will resonate through&nbsp;NoD on September 14th 2018. A&nbsp;country singer Becca Mancari to open the evening.&nbsp;</p> <p>Twenty&nbsp;two year&nbsp;old singer and guitarist Julien Baker started making music at the university with her band&nbsp;Forrister. She started playing solo in 2015 when releasing her debut album&nbsp;<em>Sprained Ankle</em>. It was a&nbsp;collection of humbly rendered&nbsp;folk&nbsp;songs, dealing with the topics of depression, substance abuse and also a crisis of faith, since Baker claims to be Christian. During her short career, she opened for bands and musicians like Death Cab For Cutie, Conor Obers or Belle &amp; Sebastian. In 2017, she got signed&nbsp;by Matador Records (Cat Power, Interpol, Pavement, Yo La Tengo) and released her second album&nbsp;<em>Turn Out The Lights</em>. The album is&nbsp;more expansive in sound and vision but&nbsp;the real draw is Baker&#39;s&nbsp;songwriting and lyricism.&nbsp;The result finds Baker narrating a deliberate meditation on how we each try to deal with our ever-shifting mental health, and the impact this can have on both ourselves and others. The album sets out to address how the process of coping with internal conflicts affects different relationships &ndash; romantic, familial, and friendly. Baker turns outward to embrace the challenges of the human experience, weaving personal struggles together into one surprisingly hopeful chorus.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The exhibition of Martina Smutn&aacute; entitled <em>Together We&acute;ll Mow, Thresh and Deliver the Harvest</em> tackles two subjects which continue to be approached by Czech society at large either hesitantly, or contrariwise, with a good deal of emotion and lack of restraint: namely, the issues of the status of women, and the country&acute;s history under the communist regime. Actually, this sense of uncertainty in dealing with these two subjects may be correlated.</p>

<p>What mechanisms operate a loving relationship of two people separated by thousands of kilometres? How strong the bond has to be to keep us connected to the other person when it&rsquo;s been such a long time since we last smelled their skin, since we held their hand and cuddled in their arms? These are the questions raised by Fairy Queen, a piece created by the contemporary dance company 420PEOPLE and one based on true events and authentic personal material and experience of the performers.<br /> <br /> It is with immense love that we dedicate this piece to our sons and daughters, parents and partners, to all the beloved people who only hear our &ldquo;I love you&rdquo; when the distance has grown too long.<br /> <br /> <strong>The project results from a collaborative initiative of the company 420PEOPLE, the Experimental Space NoD and the music group Zabelov.</strong></p>

<p>Franti&scaron;ek Pech&aacute;ček is one of the most significant personalities of the Czech visual scene. He specializes in 2D and 3D graphics - animation, creation of a generated virtual environment. His specialties include video projection and video mapping of buildings and environments. He participates in the creation of a visual on the scene of theater performances at the National Theater. He has also collaborated on video projections of productions at the Theater in Vinohrady in Prague, the Moravian-Silesian National Theater in Ostrava or the Vigszinhasz Comedy theater in Budapest.&nbsp;</p>

Anna Hulačová & Jana Vojnárová: Parallel Greetings

<p>The exhibition <em>Parallel Greetings </em>is centered around communication between two different media, and between two women artists linked together by an immanent thematic bond which works as an entrance gate to the penetration of one of their two worlds by the other, and vice versa. The process of physical symbiosis between sculpture and painting evolves here within the characteristic space of the show&acute;s architectural layout which reaches beyond the traditional gallery space, extending it lengthwise, and wherein a museum-style &ldquo;aquarium&rdquo; enclosure invites to a game of co-existing parallel worlds or variants of their potential states. The exhibition&acute;s layout is instrumental in evoking diverse impressions bordering on the world of science fiction: the communication and interpenetration of the two artists&acute; works points to straightforward suggestions of entrance into alternative temporal or spacial dimensions, parallel worlds or whole universes which give birth to various physical mutations of commonly shared material. This two-way <em>Odyssey</em> should be read in terms&nbsp;of a guide of an elusive past and a record of an imposed future.</p>
